I went for a drive today in Larose Forest and saw this large turtle crossing the road.  I wanted a shot on his level, but didn't check my focus until I got home.  I was disappointed to see that my focus is slightly in front of the turtle.  One more reason to check my shots before I leave!

Happy Mother's Day to my friends!  We spent the day at ComicCon here in Ottawa.  It was a blast!

Today's theme is "trees".  I go in search of pussy willow trees in the early spring.  They are one of the first signs here. The trees get a green haze to them and the willows bud!

Today's photo theme was growth and I didn't want to do the obvious spring "growth" photo.  I wracked my brain for an idea and then I saw our kitchen wall with the grow chart on it.  Lucas was only 5 month old when we moved into this house, so the kitchen door jamb has both Rachel & Lucas's height marked from the time they were toddlers.  I knew one day Lucas would be as tall as his dad and now at eighteen he is there.

Today's photo theme was "Work".  Well, the shelf in our bedroom closet collapsed last week. So all this sits here on the floor until the drywall hole can be repaired.  The shelf also knocked out the pole holding all the clothes.
